AMY FC with the help of Project Leaders has had a very successful season, reaching the Surrey County Intermediate Cup Final and promotion to the highest division of the Surrey South East Combination League.

The SCI Cup Final is contested by more than eighty teams, and the SSECL's Intermediate Division One is the twelth tier of English football.

With the sponsorship funds provided, the club was able to book a regular training venue in Mitcham regularly attended by 30+ players. Furthermore, the club was able to subsidise younger playing members, like students and those who do not have enough means to pay full registration and match fees. This has gone a long way to attaching these players to club from varying cultural and ethnic background.

The club also undertakes community and charity projects:

- Arranging and distributing food and clothes to the homeless in Central London

- Raising funds for charity by participating in a 10km charity run

The clubs season was also captured as a documentary in grass roots football, which was broadcast to an International audience on Sky Channel 784 and available on YouTube where it has had over 3,500 views:

The longer term view for the club is four fold:

  • Attain semi-professional status
  • Lease/purchase our own grounds with floodlight facilities.
  • Establish an academy for younger age groups
  • Continue and increase regularity and scale of charity and community contributing projects
